About the role
The Health & Nutrition Coordinator will lead the delivery of comprehensive primary health care, reproductive health, child health and nutrition services across Syria. Reporting to the Head of Office, the role ensures high‑quality implementation, coordination with partners and compliance with donor requirements.
Key responsibilities
- Provide technical support and manage the health and nutrition emergency programme, including establishing an integrated nutrition component at service delivery points.
- Develop, review and monitor detailed implementation plans, ensuring alignment with Save the Children strategies and donor guidelines.
- Review partners’ narrative and financial reports and prepare monthly BvA and award review meetings.
- Lead the preparation of timely, high‑quality donor reports, tracking progress against project outputs.
- Oversee implementation of health & nutrition projects, monitoring log‑frames, work plans and performance indicators.
- Collaborate with emergency programme teams to ensure an integrated approach and share lessons learned.
- Manage grant budgets, authorise expenditures and ensure compliance with donor and SCI financial regulations.
- Supervise and guide staff, ensuring child safeguarding level 3 compliance.
Required profile
- Proven experience in health and nutrition programme management, preferably in humanitarian settings.
- Strong knowledge of primary health care, reproductive health, child health and nutrition interventions (MIYCN, IYCF‑E, CMAM, MAMI).
- Experience in donor reporting, budget management and grant compliance.
- Ability to coordinate with multiple partners and lead multidisciplinary teams.
- Commitment to child safeguarding and adherence to level 3 requirements.
