Ironer - Laundry Department

About the role

The Ironer works in the laundry department of the Mövenpick Resort & Spa Tala Bay in Aqaba, a hotel belonging to the Accor network. The role covers ironing, pressing and finishing all hotel linens, uniforms and guest laundry items so that they meet the hotel's quality standards and are delivered clean, wrinkle-free and in excellent condition.

Key responsibilities

• Operate ironing and pressing machines safely and efficiently.
• Iron and press linens, uniforms and guest laundry according to established standards.
• Ensure all items are free from wrinkles, stains and damage before delivery.
• Sort laundry by type, fabric and priority.
• Inspect finished items for quality and presentation.
• Report damaged, stained or missing items to the Laundry Supervisor.
• Maintain the cleanliness and organisation of the ironing area and equipment.
• Follow safety, hygiene and chemical-handling procedures.
• Handle linen and guest laundry carefully to avoid damage or loss.
• Coordinate with other laundry team members for smooth daily operations.
• Follow Accor brand standards and hotel policies.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a laundry or ironing position is preferred.
• Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks.
• Good attention to detail.
• Team player with a positive attitude.
• Commitment to quality, hygiene and safety standards.
