IT Governance Officer

About the role

The Bank of Jordan is seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented IT Governance Officer to monitor and support the implementation of IT governance frameworks, policies, and controls, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor IT governance, compliance, risks, and key performance/risk indicators (KPIs/KRIs).
• Review IT systems, processes, projects, and services for compliance with approved policies and governance requirements.
• Support continuous improvement of frameworks such as COBIT and ITIL.
• Monitor IT projects, SLAs, OLAs, and vendor performance, escalating significant gaps or risks.
• Identify governance and compliance gaps and provide corrective recommendations.
• Support Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery activities related to IT.
• Contribute to the development and enhancement of IT governance policies, procedures, and controls.
• Track configuration items and maintain technical documentation in collaboration with application and infrastructure teams.
• Promote awareness and adherence to IT governance, risk, compliance, and information security requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in IT Governance.
• Excellent English communication skills (both spoken and written).
• Strong knowledge of IT processes, controls, and risk frameworks.
