IT System Administrator

About the role

The IT Systems Administrator will design, implement, maintain, and secure the organisation's on‑premises and cloud infrastructure. Based onsite in Amman, the role ensures high availability, performance, and security of all IT systems supporting business operations.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and support Windows Server environments (2008 R2‑2022) including AD, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and file/print services.
• Manage server lifecycle activities such as provisioning, decommissioning, and OS migrations.
• Operate HPE SimpliVity hyper‑converged infrastructure, monitoring cluster health, storage/compute resources, backup, and disaster recovery.
• Handle Microsoft 365 tenant administration, licensing, service health, Azure AD (Entra ID) user lifecycle, conditional access, SSO, and hybrid identity.
• Administer Exchange Online, Intune, SharePoint Online, and Teams, covering mail flow, device compliance, site collections, and voice/calling configuration.
• Execute patch management for servers and endpoints using RMM tools, ensuring compliance with security advisories.
• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot FortiGate firewalls and Mikrotik switches, including VLAN design, VPNs, NAT, and traffic monitoring.
• Perform regular system backups and test disaster‑recovery procedures.

Required profile

• Proven experience administering Windows Server environments (2008 R2‑2022).
• Hands‑on experience with HPE SimpliVity hyper‑converged infrastructure.
• Strong background in Microsoft 365, Azure AD, Exchange Online, Intune, SharePoint Online, and Teams administration.
• Experience configuring FortiGate firewalls and Mikrotik switches, including VLAN and VPN setups.
• Familiarity with RMM tools for patch and endpoint management.
