Liferay Developer – Qatar

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Liferay Developer to manage and enhance our OpenText Liferay platform in Qatar. The role involves high‑level administration, system configuration, and delivering custom solutions that align with business needs.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and configure the OpenText Liferay platform, including installation of CARS, OTDS and related components.
• Perform backup, restore, and user‑role management tasks.
• Develop, test and deploy web services and SOA integrations within Liferay.
• Investigate logs using Liferay’s logging framework and troubleshoot process instances.
• Integrate OTDS (OpenText Directory Services) with Liferay for identity management.
• Design and build user interfaces with lists, forms and layouts.
• Create entity hierarchies, wrap entities as web services and deploy entity‑based solutions.
• Write scalable, testable Java code and produce detailed project reports.
• Provide end‑user support and assist fellow developers with debugging.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 5 to 8 years of professional experience in Java‑based development.
• Proven experience administering Liferay platforms and integrating OpenText services.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret requirements and deliver high‑quality code.
