Mechanical Engineer – HVAC, Plumbing & Fire Protection

About the role

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to lead the design of HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and specialized systems for large‑scale projects. The role involves coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, ensuring compliance with international codes, and delivering BIM‑based models that meet client and authority requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Design HVAC systems (chilled water, DX, VRF, ventilation) tailored to project and climate conditions.
• Develop plumbing layouts for domestic water, drainage, and heating solutions.
• Create fire protection designs (sprinkler, standpipe, clean agent) in line with NFPA and civil defense standards.
• Engineer medical gas and other specialized systems for healthcare facilities when required.
• Perform emergency system design, including critical‑area ventilation, pressurization, and smoke control.
• Prepare detailed mechanical calculations: load assessments, duct/pipe sizing, pump head, fan static pressure, and equipment selection.
• Produce accurate mechanical layouts, schematics, sections, and BOQs using industry‑standard software.
• Guide BIM models in Revit, ensure clash‑free coordination, and lead technical reviews.
• Mentor junior engineers, review their work, and support QA/QC processes.
• Lead authority submission packages and represent the team in client and consultant meetings.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Proven experience in mechanical system design for commercial or institutional projects.
• Familiarity with local authority requirements (ADM, DM, ADCD) and international codes (ASHRAE, SMACNA, IPC, NFPA).
