Mechanical Technician

About the role

The Mechanical Technician will perform routine and preventative maintenance on property vehicles and equipment, ensuring they operate safely and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Perform minor routine maintenance on property vehicles such as checking oil, fluid levels, tire pressure, charging batteries, and replacing spark plugs.
• Carry out preventative maintenance on tools and equipment, including cleaning and lubrication.
• Maintain maintenance inventory, requisition parts and supplies as needed, and keep daily logs of operations, maintenance, and safety activities.
• Follow company safety policies, report hazards, complete safety training, and handle flammable materials properly.

Required profile

• Technical, trade, or vocational school degree.
• At least 2 years of related mechanical maintenance experience.
• Ability to lift and move objects up to 50 lb, perform visual inspections, and work in various physical positions.

Required skills

• Vehicle maintenance (oil checks, fluid levels, tire pressure, battery charging, spark plug replacement).
• Tool and equipment preventative maintenance (cleaning, lubrication).
• Inventory management and parts requisition.
• Accurate logging of maintenance and safety activities.
