Mid-Level Network Engineer

About the role

Estarta is looking for a Mid‑Level Network Engineer to join its IT Department in Amman. The engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the company’s enterprise network infrastructure, ensuring reliable connectivity for all users and locations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and maintain enterprise LAN, WAN, WLAN, and internet connectivity.
• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Cisco switches, routers, and wireless infrastructure.
• Administer Cisco Meraki cloud‑managed solutions (MX security appliances, MS switches, MR access points) via the Meraki dashboard.
• Monitor network health, bandwidth utilization, and performance; diagnose outages, latency, packet loss, and routing issues.
• Maintain VPN connectivity for remote users and branch offices and support firewall configurations.
• Configure VLANs, trunking, STP, EtherChannel, routing protocols, DHCP, DNS, NAT, and ACLs.
• Participate in network expansions, upgrades, migrations, and ensure high availability and redundancy.
• Perform proactive health checks, incident response within SLA, and root‑cause analysis for recurring issues.
• Maintain accurate network diagrams, documentation, and support Level 2/Level 3 technical assistance.

Required profile

• Mid‑level experience (approximately 3‑5 years) in enterprise network engineering.
• Strong understanding of LAN/WAN design, routing, switching, and security concepts.
• Ability to work on‑site in Amman and collaborate with internal IT teams and external vendors.
