Senior SATCOM Engineer - Floater

About the role

The Senior SATCOM Engineer will support critical communications at the Joint Training Center in Jordan, providing advanced design, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting for satellite and network systems. This floater position requires a high level of technical expertise and the ability to work across multiple communication platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Design, install, and maintain LAN, WAN, and VoIP infrastructures.
• Provide Tier 2/3 support for complex enterprise networks and advanced RF systems.
• Operate and maintain satellite modems, redundancy switches, converters, amplifiers, antennas, and related hardware.
• Utilize TMDE equipment for diagnostics beyond built‑in‑test capabilities.
• Manage telecommunications inventory and ensure compliance with SLAs.
• Develop and enforce network management best practices, including configuration, monitoring, patch management, and security.

Required profile

• Active US Government Secret clearance (interim acceptable) and US citizenship.
• DoD 8140 qualification: Network Operations Specialist (441) at intermediate level.
• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent military training.
• Relevant certifications such as Security+, Cloud+, GCIH, SSCP, GSEC, CEH, or other DoD‑approved credentials.
• Minimum ten years of experience in satellite communications and network engineering.
