About the role

The Sustainable Research and Development Center is looking for a Migration Governance Researcher to support an international consultancy assignment. The role focuses on desk‑research, documentation review, evidence mapping and analysis related to Africa‑Europe migration cooperation and the development of a strategic policy publication. The position is fully remote and works closely with the Lead Migration Governance Expert.

Key responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive desk‑research on two decades of regional migration cooperation.
Review and synthesize institutional, governmental, policy, programme and academic documents.
Map evidence and identify trends, milestones, thematic priorities and emerging issues.
Prepare analytical summaries and support the Lead Author in drafting the policy publication.
Maintain organized evidence repositories and ensure data quality.

Required profile

Background in migration governance, policy research or related social sciences.
Experience with Africa‑Europe migration topics and international development projects.
Strong analytical, writing and synthesis abilities.
Ability to work independently in a remote setting.
