Monitoring & Implementation Support Consultant – Makani Program (Jordan)

About the role

The Makani Program in Jordan’s Azraq and Zaatari refugee camps is seeking a Monitoring and Implementation Support Consultant. The consultant will work on‑site for four months, supporting UNICEF’s integrated child development and protection services and ensuring programme quality for national staff.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor the delivery of Makani sub‑programs (Safe Spaces, Child Protection, Life‑Skills, Early Childhood Development).
• Collect field data, enter it into monitoring systems and produce structured reports.
• Identify quality gaps, analyse findings and communicate recommendations to programme managers and volunteers.
• Support Syrian Incentive‑Based Volunteers in implementing centre activities and referral mechanisms.
• Coordinate with centre managers, facilitators and other staff to ensure compliance with child protection principles.

Required profile

• Minimum three years of progressive experience in programme monitoring, community‑based programming, social or child protection within a humanitarian or development context.
• Previous work in Jordanian refugee camps is mandatory.
• Fluent Arabic and working knowledge of English.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Makani sub‑programs and child protection referral mechanisms.

Required skills

• Proficiency with standard Microsoft Office tools.
• Experience using data entry and monitoring systems.
