Partnerships & Advocacy Consultant – Child Protection & Migration

About the role

UNICEF is seeking a Partnerships and Advocacy Consultant to provide comprehensive support for partnership and advocacy priorities within the Child Protection and Migration practice. The consultant will develop high‑quality concept notes, proposals, donor reports, advocacy messages and presentations to drive resource mobilisation and increase global visibility of UNICEF programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare up to 15 brief concept notes for donor partners to support resource mobilisation initiatives.
• Prepare up to 10 proposals for donor partners covering child protection and migration.
• Prepare up to 10 donor reports, collating inputs and demonstrating results for children.
• Develop up to 12 sets of advocacy messages or talking points for internal and external audiences.
• Create up to 6 presentations summarising concept notes for donor engagement.
• Produce up to 15 information sheets on thematic areas within child protection and migration.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Media, Project Management, Social Work or related field.
• Strong experience developing concept notes and proposals for external donors, especially in child protection and migration.
• Excellent written communication, report writing and advocacy messaging skills.
• Fluency in written and spoken English.
• 8+ years experience in resource mobilisation, proposal and report writing for UN agencies, NGOs or similar organisations.
