Partnerships and Advocacy Consultant (Child Protection)

About the role

The consultancy provides comprehensive support to partnership and advocacy priorities within UNICEF's Child Protection and Migration Practice, delivering high‑quality concept notes, proposals, donor reports and advocacy messages to drive resource mobilisation and global visibility.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare up to 15 brief concept notes and up to 10 proposals for donor partners to support resource mobilisation.
• Develop up to 10 donor reports, ensuring clear demonstration of results for child protection and migration outcomes.
• Create up to 12 sets of advocacy messages/talking points and up to 6 presentations for internal and external audiences.
• Produce up to 15 information sheets on thematic areas within child protection and migration for donor partners.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Media, Project Management, Social Work or related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in resource mobilisation, proposal and report writing for UN agencies or NGOs, especially in child protection and migration.
• Fluency in written and spoken English.

• Strong written communication, including concept note and proposal development.
• Excellent report writing, advocacy messaging and presentation development.
• Strategic thinking and ability to produce high‑quality donor‑focused documents.
