Procurement Manager - Hospitality

About the role

A permanent Procurement Manager is sought to lead procurement operations in Amman, Jordan, within the hospitality sector. The role drives efficiency, optimizes supplier relationships and contributes to the organization's success. Candidates should be seasoned professionals with a proven track record in managing complex procurement functions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement strategies for the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services, with a focus on the hospitality industry.
• Lead supplier negotiations, securing favorable terms, pricing and service level agreements.
• Oversee end-to-end contract management, including compliance, renewals and cost-saving opportunities.
• Conduct cost analysis and market research to support strategic sourcing.
• Maintain inventory control systems to optimize stock levels and minimize holding costs, especially in hotel environments.
• Manage procurement risks and ensure business continuity.
• Build collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
• Prepare for and undertake regular visits to Wadi Rum as required by operational demands.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field.
• 5 to 7 years of progressive experience in procurement and supply chain management, with expertise in the hospitality industry, specifically hotels.
• Proven experience in supplier negotiation, contract management, cost analysis and strategic sourcing.
• Familiarity with inventory control and risk management principles.
• Non-smoker.
• Preferred: CPSM or CIPS certification; fluency in written and spoken English.

Required skills

• Proficiency in inventory control and risk management.
• Experience with procurement software and ERP systems, including SAP (if applicable).
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Analytical and data analysis skills, strong problem-solving, communication and leadership abilities.
