Quality Assurance Officer

About the role

Genie9 is seeking a motivated Quality Assurance Officer to join its fast‑growing technology team. You will help ensure that software releases meet high standards of functionality, performance and user experience. This is an entry‑level position ideal for candidates with 0‑2 years of testing experience.

Key responsibilities

• Review and analyse requirements, specifications and design documents for clarity and completeness.
• Design, execute and document test cases, reporting defects and tracking them to resolution.
• Perform regression testing after bug fixes to prevent recurrence.
• Collaborate with developers to debug issues and monitor software behaviour.
• Validate software against functional, performance and industry‑standard criteria.

Required profile

• 0‑2 years of experience in software testing or quality assurance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset and good communication skills.
• Familiarity with QA methodologies, testing processes and bug‑tracking tools.

Required skills

• SQL query writing.
• Basic scripting with Python or JavaScript.
• Exposure to automated testing frameworks such as Selenium or Cypress.
