Risk Advisory Accountant Internship (Internal Client Services)

About the role

This internship offers a hands‑on experience within Deloitte's Risk Advisory Internal Client Services team in the Middle East. As an Accounting Intern you will support day‑to‑day financial operations while gaining exposure to a broad range of risk‑related services.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain bookkeeping records and control the general ledger.
• Prepare and review daily accounting entries, including AR, AP, BPV, BRV, inter‑company and journal vouchers.
• Independently manage the month‑end closing process.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly schedules, reconciliations and internal reporting.
• Prepare and submit monthly VAT and WHT returns.
• Apply the Percentage of Completion method for revenue recognition.
• Coordinate with external auditors and support audit activities.
• Assist in the preparation of tax returns and handle ad‑hoc reporting tasks.

Required profile

• Enrolled in an accounting, finance or related degree program.
• Strong interest in risk advisory, internal audit and regulatory consulting.
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently on routine tasks.
• Good communication skills and willingness to collaborate with a regional team.
