Senior Accountant - SaaS Financial Reporting

About the role

Foodics, a restaurant management ecosystem and payment technology provider founded in 2014, is looking for a Senior Accountant in Amman. The role suits someone with 3+ years of accounting experience and expertise in SaaS financial operations, covering financial reporting, revenue recognition and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and oversee daily accounting operations, including AP, AR and bank reconciliations, and maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
• Prepare and review financial statements in line with IFRS/GAAP and assist with month-end and year-end closing.
• Maintain compliance with local tax laws, including VAT and income tax.
• Oversee subscription billing, deferred revenue and recurring revenue reporting, monitor customer contracts and invoicing, and reconcile deferred revenue schedules to ensure accurate ARR and MRR.
• Support budgeting and financial planning for SaaS revenue streams and identify process improvements.
• Assist in internal and external audits and maintain strong internal controls.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field; CPA, CMA or ACCA is a plus.
• 4+ years of accounting experience, including 1-2 years in a SaaS or subscription business.
• Strong understanding of GAAP/IFRS and proficiency in English, written and spoken.
• Preferred: working knowledge of transfer pricing and intercompany arrangements, and experience in a multinational setting.

Required skills

• Accounting software, preferably SAP S/4HANA.
• Subscription billing systems, preferably Salesforce.
• Advanced Excel and financial modeling.
• Preferred: familiarity with SaaS KPIs such as CAC, LTV, churn rate and expansion revenue, and knowledge of SaaS tax regulations.
