Senior Backend Developer

About the role

Servme is looking for a Senior Backend Developer to own and evolve the core services and APIs that power its hospitality guest‑experience platform. You will work closely with product, frontend, DevOps and QA teams to deliver secure, scalable solutions that meet the needs of modern restaurants, cafés and hotels.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain high‑performance RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Write clean, efficient, testable code using PHP 8.x and the Laravel framework.
• Design, implement and optimise relational (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and non‑relational (MongoDB, Redis) databases.
• Apply best practices for security, authentication and authorisation.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver features end‑to‑end.
• Conduct code reviews, enforce coding standards and mentor junior developers.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues and optimise for scale.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or a related field.
• 5+ years of product development experience, preferably in SaaS or hospitality tech.
• Strong understanding of systems architecture and code optimisation.
• Experience working in Agile development environments.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
