Senior Electrical Engineer

About the role

Omrania is looking for an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join its Amman office. You will lead the design and delivery of electrical systems for medium to large‑scale projects, ensuring compliance with international standards and Jordanian regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and optimise electrical systems for complex projects.
• Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, MEP teams and other disciplines for integrated project delivery.
• Prepare detailed technical documentation, calculations, specifications and regulatory submissions.
• Monitor project progress, manage risks, and implement corrective actions to stay on schedule and budget.
• Analyse technical challenges and propose innovative, cost‑effective solutions.
• Maintain accurate documentation for audits and compliance.
• Provide technical support during design reviews, RFPs, client inquiries and pre‑qualification processes.
• Stay up‑to‑date with industry best practices and emerging technologies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 6 years of professional electrical engineering experience, including MEP coordination on medium to large projects.
• Strong background in site safety, inspection protocols and health & safety management.
• Experience with project scheduling, progress monitoring and budget control.
• Proven track record of successful project delivery in the Middle East, especially GCC markets.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Building Information Modeling (BIM) and digitalisation techniques.
• Expert‑level use of AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks and the MS Office suite.
• Proficiency with electrical design tools such as Dialux Evo and specialised calculation software.
• Strong capability in manual and computer‑aided calculations and technical analysis.
• Ability to interpret and apply international and local design standards.
