Senior Full Stack Engineer (Consultancy)

About the role

We are looking for a senior full‑stack engineer on a 6‑month consultancy agreement to design and build both the front‑end and back‑end of our web platforms. You will work closely with product, UX/UI, and infrastructure teams to deliver responsive, data‑rich applications that handle large‑scale datasets and real‑time streaming.

Key responsibilities

• Develop responsive web applications using React, TypeScript and Vite.js.
• Build backend services with Node.js and TypeScript, including RESTful APIs and streaming interfaces for Large Language Models.
• Design data processing pipelines capable of handling and visualising large datasets efficiently.
• Collaborate with designers and product owners to prototype and refine user interfaces.
• Architect scalable, maintainable front‑end and back‑end systems.
• Partner with infrastructure teams for deployment, scaling, database optimisation and API performance tuning.
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test and deployment.
• Implement comprehensive testing (unit, integration, E2E) using Playwright and Jest.
• Monitor and optimise application performance, load times and backend processing speed.
• Document code, processes and architectural decisions; participate in code reviews.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience as a full‑stack engineer.
• Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS and modern JavaScript concepts (responsive design, accessibility, async programming, closures).
• Proven experience delivering large‑scale, data‑intensive web applications.
