Senior IT Functional Support Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior IT Functional Support Engineer who can bridge business operations and technology. The role involves supporting business users, analysing functional workflows, and ensuring smooth coordination across systems and stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Provide functional and operational support to business teams.
• Understand and map business processes, connecting dependencies across systems and workflows.
• Act as a liaison between business, IT, operations, and external vendors.
• Analyse issues, track root causes and coordinate resolutions with relevant stakeholders.
• Support change requests, enhancements and continuous process improvements.
• Prepare operational and analytical reports to aid decision‑making.
• Maintain up‑to‑date documentation for functional processes, workflows and configurations.
• Follow up on action items and ensure timely closure of tasks.
• Provide support availability during critical operations or release cycles.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in functional support, business operations or business analysis.
• Proven ability to understand business workflows and connect cross‑functional teams.
• Strong analytical and process‑structuring capabilities.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills in multi‑stakeholder environments.
• Proactive, detail‑oriented and reliable in support‑driven roles.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel (pivot tables, advanced formulas, data analysis & reporting).
• Dashboard creation and operational performance reporting.
• Experience with enterprise platforms such as ERP, CRM or other operations systems.
