Senior Operations Engineer – Solar PV (IC5)

About the role

MASE Gulf is seeking an experienced Senior Operations Engineer to lead the operation and maintenance of its utility‑scale and commercial solar PV portfolio across the UAE. The hybrid role blends operational coordination, technical engineering, client interaction and field leadership, with time split between the Dubai office and project sites.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate day‑to‑day operation of the assigned solar PV portfolio and develop weekly and monthly maintenance schedules.
• Oversee internal resources, subcontractors and service partners to ensure preventive and corrective maintenance is completed safely and on schedule.
• Monitor work order progress, track contractual KPIs and operational performance metrics, and manage outage planning and maintenance windows.
• Provide technical support for complex faults, conduct root‑cause investigations and produce technical reports.
• Review maintenance records, OEM recommendations and participate in major maintenance activities.
• Maintain a regular presence on project sites, supervise field teams during critical tasks and conduct routine technical inspections and quality audits.
• Identify operational risks, ensure corrective actions are implemented and documented, and verify compliance with company procedures and client requirements.
• Serve as a primary operational contact for clients, attend review meetings, present performance updates and coordinate with OEMs, EPC contractors and utility representatives.

Required profile

• Experienced and highly motivated professional with a strong technical engineering background.
• Proven ability to coordinate operational activities and lead field teams across multiple sites.
• Excellent client‑facing communication skills and ability to work closely with subcontractors and internal support teams.
• Willingness to split time between the Dubai office and on‑site locations throughout the UAE.
