Solution Architect - Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM

About the role

A highly technical Dynamics 365 CRM Solution Architect is sought to lead the design and delivery of enterprise customer engagement platforms for large, complex organizations. This is a hands-on, client-facing contract role, comfortable in both stakeholder workshops and technical design reviews, working on enterprise-scale transformation programmes with multiple workstreams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead discovery with business and technology stakeholders and define end-to-end target architectures across Dynamics 365 Sales, Customer Service, Field Service and Customer Insights.
• Translate requirements into scalable, secure solutions, balancing configuration, low-code and custom development, and document architectural decisions such as fit-gap, environment strategy, data model and security model.
• Design the Dataverse data model, security architecture and data migration approach from legacy CRM systems.
• Design integrations with ERP, marketing, telephony, identity and data platforms using Azure Integration Services, APIs and event-driven patterns.
• Define the Power Platform approach (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Pages, Copilot Studio) and advise clients on roadmap, licensing and adoption.
• Provide technical leadership to developers, including design and code reviews, development standards and ALM via Azure DevOps or Power Platform Pipelines.
• Ensure performance, scalability, security and data privacy, including regional data residency, and prototype approaches before implementation.
• Produce architecture artefacts such as solution designs, integration specifications, data models and technical decision records.

Required profile

• 10+ years in enterprise technology, including 6+ years architecting on Dynamics 365 CE / CRM.
• Track record of leading large-scale, multi-workstream Dynamics 365 implementations.
• Consulting or systems integration experience delivering for enterprise clients.
• Ability to communicate architecture clearly to senior business stakeholders and technical teams, and to work independently in a contract capacity.

Required skills

• Dynamics 365 and Dataverse, including data modelling, security model, business process flows, plugins and Web API.
• Power Platform governance (environments, DLP policies, CoE).
• Integration and Azure: Logic Apps, Azure Functions, Service Bus, API Management, Azure Synapse Link / Microsoft Fabric.
• Data migration from legacy CRM platforms (e.g. older Dynamics, Salesforce).
