Tailor – Guest Clothing & Uniform Specialist

About the role

The Tailor is responsible for maintaining the appearance and functionality of guest clothing and employee uniforms within the hotel. Working closely with housekeeping and laundry teams, you will ensure all garments are repaired, altered, and distributed according to company standards.

Key responsibilities

• Mend, repair, and alter guest clothing and employee uniforms by hand stitching, applying adhesive patches, or using a sewing machine.
• Distribute clean uniforms to staff and manage the return of damaged items to the appropriate repair location.
• Document guest requests for laundry, dry cleaning, minor repairs, and pressing in line with company procedures.
• Record the movement of assigned and unassigned uniforms, tracking distribution, return, and cleaning status.
• Inspect uniforms for damage, remove substandard items from circulation, and issue replacements.
• Follow all safety, security, and company policies, reporting any hazards or incidents.

Required profile

• At least 1 year of experience in tailoring, garment repair, or related work.
• No high school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods and lift objects up to 10 lb.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
