Assistant Cost Controller – Hotel

About the role

The Assistant Cost Controller will support the financial integrity of the Holiday Inn Resort Dead Sea by monitoring and controlling food, beverage, and operating costs. Reporting to the Cost Controller, you will ensure accurate inventory management, cost reporting, and compliance with hotel policies.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in monitoring and analysing food, beverage and general store costs.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly cost control reports and variance analyses.
• Review receiving records, purchase orders, invoices and inventory transactions for accuracy.
• Conduct regular inventory counts and stock audits with operational departments.
• Verify recipe costing, menu pricing and consumption trends to identify optimisation opportunities.
• Monitor wastage, spoilage and breakage, reporting variances to management.
• Support month‑end closing activities and provide administrative assistance to the Cost Control function.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Hospitality Management or related field.
• Minimum 2 years experience in cost control, accounting, finance, stores or purchasing, preferably in a hotel.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills with high attention to detail.
• Good understanding of inventory management, cost control principles and financial reporting.
