Associate Food Safety & Quality

About the role

We are looking for a Food Safety & Quality Associate to support the rapid growth of tMart, our cloud‑store grocery service operating across the MENA region. The role will ensure that food safety standards are met, training is delivered, and any hazards or incidents are investigated and resolved.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with local and central teams to achieve business objectives.
• Deliver food safety and quality training to all employees, providing materials, templates and procedures.
• Conduct food, health and safety inspections and investigations, analysing data on potential hazards, unsafe conditions or environmental concerns.
• Support resolution of serious customer complaints and manage escalation processes.
• Coordinate product withdrawals, recalls and serious incident handling.
• Ensure compliance with local food safety authority enforcement actions.
• Monitor regulatory developments and work with senior colleagues to implement internal measures.
• Identify procedures needing review due to operational or regulatory changes.
• Support food safety and quality of product assortment, coordinate external laboratory testing and maintain documentation.

Required profile

• Experience in food safety and quality assurance within a retail or grocery environment.
• Knowledge of local food safety regulations and ability to ensure compliance.
• Strong analytical skills for inspecting data and identifying hazards.
• Ability to deliver training and communicate procedures effectively.
• Proactive approach to cross‑functional collaboration and incident management.
