Backend Engineer (Node.js/NestJS)

About the role

We are looking for a Backend Engineer to join our development team. The role focuses on designing, building and maintaining server‑side applications using Node.js and NestJS, ensuring high performance and reliability.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services and APIs with Node.js and NestJS.
• Design, implement and optimise relational (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB) data models.
• Integrate caching mechanisms using Redis.
• Participate in CI/CD pipelines and deploy applications to cloud environments, preferably AWS.
• Collaborate on code quality, clean code principles and design patterns.

Required profile

• 2–5 years of professional backend development experience.
• Proficiency in Node.js and familiarity with NestJS.
• Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and at least one NoSQL database (e.g., MongoDB).
• Understanding of caching tools such as Redis.
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and cloud platforms (AWS is a plus).
• Awareness of clean code principles and basic design patterns.
