Chinese Business Communications Specialist

About the role

The Chinese Business Communications Specialist will support ProgressSoft's Marketing department by acting as a communication bridge between internal teams and Chinese companies, suppliers, manufacturers, technology partners, and other stakeholders. The role involves translation, localization, documentation, and coordination to ensure accurate business communication in both Chinese and English.

Key responsibilities

• Draft and manage professional Chinese correspondence, including emails, follow-ups, requests, and business documents.
• Review communications from Chinese stakeholders and explain meaning, context, and nuances to internal teams.
• Participate in meetings and calls with Chinese companies, providing real‑time language support.
• Translate, localize, proofread, and review business, marketing, commercial, and technology materials between Chinese and English.
• Prepare bilingual meeting notes, summaries, and supporting documentation.
• Advise internal teams on Chinese business communication etiquette and cultural considerations.

Required profile

• Native‑level Mandarin Chinese with excellent written and verbal skills.
• Professional proficiency in English; Arabic is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in Languages, Translation, Communications, International Business, Engineering, Technology, or related field.
• 1–5 years of experience in Chinese or international business communication, translation/localization, supplier relations, or related areas.
• Experience in technology, AI, electronics, manufacturing, or similar technical industries is advantageous.
