About the role
Join CDM Smith as a Civil Engineering Intern on the USAID Building Water Infrastructure (BWI) project in Jordan. You will gain hands‑on experience in water and wastewater engineering while supporting both construction and design teams.
Key responsibilities
- Assist the Construction/Design team with technical and administrative tasks related to water and wastewater infrastructure.
- Participate in preliminary construction and design activities and apply relevant engineering codes.
- Attend project meetings, prepare minutes, and contribute to project reporting.
- Conduct desktop and field research, including literature review.
- Support event and conference arrangements as directed by the supervisor.
- Accompany senior engineers to project sites for field observations.
Required profile
- Enrolled in a civil engineering or related degree program.
- Interest in water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Eagerness to learn and develop practical engineering competencies.
Required skills
- Knowledge of applicable engineering codes.
