Commis II – Kitchen Assistant (Full‑Time)

About the role

The Commis II supports the culinary team at Marriott International’s property on Dead Sea Road, ensuring that all food preparation and service standards are met. This full‑time, on‑site position is ideal for individuals with a passion for hospitality and basic kitchen operations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients by portioning, chopping, washing, peeling, weighing, measuring and mixing.
• Cook food according to recipes, quality and presentation standards, including cold dishes.
• Operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves and fryers safely and efficiently.
• Test food for proper doneness and monitor quality throughout preparation.
• Set up and break down work stations, serve food in correct portions, and maintain a clean kitchen environment.
• Wash and disinfect kitchen areas, tools, knives and equipment, and verify appliance and food temperatures.
• Follow all company safety, security and hygiene policies, reporting any issues to management.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• At least one year of related kitchen or food‑service experience.
• Ability to stand, walk or sit for extended periods and lift objects up to 25 lb.
• Willingness to work in a fast‑paced environment and adhere to quality standards.
