Courier – Delivery & Pickup Specialist

About the role

The Courier is responsible for sorting, delivering, and picking up inbound and outbound shipments within the designated service area. The role ensures that every parcel is handled according to DHL quality standards and that customers receive reliable, timely service.

Key responsibilities

• Complete all deliveries and pickups for each cycle in a professional manner, adhering to DHL standards.
• Scan shipments and fulfil system requirements, ensuring accurate data download for the network.
• Prepare and verify all paperwork for pickups and deliveries before freight is weighed.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and drive safely, complying with traffic regulations.
• Promote DHL’s professional image and communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
• Suggest and implement smarter work practices to meet KPI standards.
• Promote value‑added services such as TDD, Import Express, and insurance, contributing to sales incentives.

Required profile

• Proactive attitude toward security of freight, facilities, and personnel.
• Strong communication skills with both internal teams and customers.
• Ability to organise routes and manage workload to meet deadlines.
• Commitment to adhering to ISO procedures, safety practices, and company policies.
