Driver – UNDP Regional Hub (Tier 1‑3)

About the role

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Regional Hub for Arab States in Amman is seeking a professional Driver to provide safe and reliable transportation for senior UNDP officials, visitors and other high‑ranking guests. The role supports the Operations Management Team and ensures the timely delivery of official correspondence to government and non‑government entities.

Key responsibilities

• Operate the office vehicle to transport senior management, UN officials and visitors, adhering to UN protocol and security procedures.
• Provide backup driving support for the Deputy Regional Director/Regional Hub Director as required.
• Deliver and collect official UNDP correspondence to ministries (e.g., MOFA, MOI, MOL) and other agencies, ensuring accurate receipt.
• Maintain the vehicle in good condition, perform routine checks and report any issues.
• Assist with logistical arrangements for meetings and events, including coordination with security and protocol officers.

Required profile

• Valid driver’s licence and clean driving record.
• Demonstrated ability to work with people from diverse cultural backgrounds.
• High level of discretion, integrity and professionalism.
• Excellent knowledge of local traffic regulations and UN security protocols.
