Engineer II – Hotel Maintenance

About the role

The Engineer II provides on‑site maintenance and repair services for hotel guests and facilities, ensuring all equipment operates safely and efficiently. Working with minimal supervision, the engineer handles a wide range of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to guest repair requests and communicate resolutions.
• Perform preventive maintenance, cleaning, lubrication, and visual inspections of tools and equipment.
• Identify and operate shut‑off valves for equipment and building systems.
• Maintain inventory, requisition parts, and document daily activities for shift handover.
• Repair or replace HVAC, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic, carpentry, kitchen, and vehicle equipment.
• Conduct basic pipe work (PVC, copper, soldering) and troubleshoot pumps, motors, and drainage issues.
• Program televisions, replace light bulbs and filters, and perform minor painting, drywall, and trim repairs.
• Apply Lockout/Tagout procedures before maintenance work.
• Use engineering software for preventive maintenance, energy management, and MEP system monitoring.
• Train and mentor junior engineers and act as Engineer on Duty when required.

Required profile

• Proficiency in at least one major trade (e.g., HVAC, electrical, plumbing) with above‑average skills in two additional areas.
• Solid knowledge of safe hand‑tool and power‑tool usage.
• Basic ability to repair PVC and copper piping, including soldering.
• Capability to troubleshoot and perform mid‑level repairs on MEP systems.
• Willingness to follow all safety, security, and company policies.
