Engineer/Architect – Fire and Life Safety

About the role

Join Dar, a global multidisciplinary consulting firm, as an Engineer/Architect focused on fire and life safety. You will support the creation of fire safety layouts, learn local codes, and collaborate with architecture and MEP teams to ensure safe, compliant designs.

Key responsibilities

• Develop fire and life safety layouts, including zoning, travel distances, occupant loads, and exit capacity calculations.
• Prepare fire and life safety submission packages for clients and civil defense authorities.
• Coordinate fire safety system requirements with architecture and MEP disciplines.
• Interpret fire and life safety codes to ensure design compliance.
• Review design plans for adherence to fire safety standards.
• Participate in webinars and training to stay current with industry best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, Fire Engineering or a related field.
• Basic knowledge of fire protection and life safety codes and standards.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and a positive, proactive attitude.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and adapt in a fast‑paced design environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CAD software.
• Proficiency with Revit software.
