Experienced Associate – Audit & Assurance (External Audit)

Deloitte is seeking an Experienced Associate to join its Audit & Assurance team in Jordan, focusing on external audit engagements. The role involves delivering high‑quality audit services, building trust with stakeholders, and supporting the firm’s commitment to integrity and impact.

Key responsibilities

• Build trust and credibility with clients by understanding their service expectations.
• Deliver high‑quality audit services while considering regulatory and risk‑management impacts.
• Adapt template referral instructions to define audit scope and focus areas.
• Liaise with onshore and offshore Centres of Excellence, ensuring accurate information exchange.
• Track deliverables from component auditors and assess their relevance.
• Link risks, controls, procedures, and findings across audit files in a timely manner.
• Articulate audit quality milestones and demonstrate how they contribute to overall audit quality.
• Prepare documentation that anticipates reviewer questions and distinguishes accounting from auditing judgments.
• Develop relationships beyond the finance function to gain deeper business insight.

Required profile

• Demonstrated ability to understand stakeholder expectations and deliver quality audit outcomes.
• Strong awareness of regulatory frameworks and risk management principles.
• Experience adapting audit templates and communicating scope clearly.
• Effective collaboration with onshore/offshore teams and Centres of Excellence.
• Proven track record of tracking and integrating audit deliverables.
• Capability to link risks, controls, and findings across audit documentation.
• Clear communication of audit quality milestones.
• Skill in preparing thorough documentation anticipating reviewer inquiries.
• Ability to build cross‑functional relationships within client organizations.
