External Audit Senior Associate – Banking/Insurance

About the role

PwC Middle East is seeking a Senior Associate to join its Assurance Remote Team for External Audit. The role focuses on serving banking and insurance clients across the GCC, providing virtual engagement support and delivering high‑quality audit services.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse client financial statements to ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
• Examine financial and accounting records, including inventory and fixed‑asset documentation.
• Conduct inquiries—both written and oral—with client personnel to gather necessary information.
• Test internal controls and processes of client organisations.
• Research and understand industry‑specific information prior to engagements.
• Communicate progress, risks, and issues promptly to Managers or Partners.
• Take full ownership of external audit file completion and documentation.

Required profile

• Senior Associate level with experience in external audit, preferably within banking or insurance sectors.
• Strong analytical mindset and ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Excellent communication skills to build trust with clients and internal stakeholders.
• Proactive approach to identifying risks and delivering solutions.
