Finance Officer

About the role

Artolution Jordan is looking for a qualified Finance Officer to provide comprehensive financial support to its Jordan‑based programs. Working part‑time (80 hours per month) from the Amman office, the officer will manage bookkeeping, payments, reconciliations, compliance, budget tracking, financial reporting and audit preparation while strengthening internal controls.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day financial operations and maintain accurate accounting records with supporting documentation.
• Prepare and review payment requests, ensure proper approvals, and monitor cash flow and fund balances.
• Conduct monthly bank and cash reconciliations and verify cash transactions and fund transfers.
• Support implementation of financial management procedures, procurement documentation, and internal control tools.
• Assist in the preparation of annual and project budgets and provide regular budget‑versus‑actual analysis.
• Prepare financial files for internal and external audits and ensure compliance with donor and Jordanian regulations.
• Produce accurate donor financial reports, quarterly and annual financial statements.
• Support supplier communications and procurement documentation as needed.

Required profile

• Relevant accounting qualification or equivalent professional experience.
• Strong accounting and audit‑preparation experience.
• Knowledge of Jordanian financial regulations and donor reporting requirements.
• Detail‑oriented with the ability to improve internal financial systems and controls.
• Available to work regularly on‑site in Amman.
