General Services Clerk – Administrative Support

About the role
The General Services Clerk provides essential administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of the UNDP Country Office in Jordan. Working under the supervision of the Administrative Analyst, the incumbent assists with premises management, registry services, government liaison, and fleet coordination in line with UNDP policies.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in day‑to‑day administration of office premises and common facilities, including coordination of routine maintenance, minor repairs, and cleaning services.
- Maintain records of premises management, maintenance requests, and service provision, ensuring compliance with occupational safety and security standards.
- Manage incoming and outgoing mail, maintain registry records, and archive official documents in both physical and electronic systems while preserving confidentiality.
- Facilitate administrative processes with government entities for international staff, including residency permits, visas, and customs clearance for official shipments.
- Coordinate daily transportation requests, schedule drivers, and keep accurate fleet records.
Required profile
- Works under direct supervision of the Administrative Analyst (NOA).
- Familiarity with UNDP administrative rules and procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information.
- Good organizational skills for managing multiple administrative tasks.
