Head Butler

About the role

The Head Butler leads the Butler team at Fairmont Amman, ensuring that every resident receives personalized, courteous, and flawless service. This senior position coordinates with multiple hotel departments to maintain the highest standards of luxury hospitality and to exceed guest expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and schedule both supervisory and non‑supervisory Butler staff.
• Monitor service delivery to guarantee prompt, courteous assistance for all residents.
• Communicate resident VIP status and special preferences to Front Office, Housekeeping, Engineering, Laundry, Sales, Food & Beverage, and Reservations.
• Conduct routine inspections of occupied and vacant rooms, pantries, and Butler areas.
• Ensure resident supplies are controlled and that lost‑and‑found, key control, security, and emergency procedures are followed.
• Maintain Fairmont standards, drive upselling of hotel products, and ensure consistent brand representation.
• Provide regular feedback, recognition, and training to Butler staff.
• Update resident profiles, especially for long‑stay, special‑attention, and celebratory guests.

Required profile

• Strong leadership with full awareness of all operational aspects.
• Excellent communication skills to coordinate across departments.
• Ability to appraise staff performance and take corrective action when needed.
• Detail‑oriented mindset focused on flawless execution of resident preferences.
• Commitment to health, safety, and security standards.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of Fairmont hospitality standards.
• Extensive experience in luxury hotel service, preferably in a Butler or concierge role.
• Proven team‑management and training capabilities.
