Housekeeping Supervisor

About the role

The Housekeeping Supervisor at ORYX Hotel Aqaba leads the daily housekeeping operations, ensuring guest rooms and public areas meet the hotel’s high standards. This full‑time, on‑site position coordinates with front office and maintenance teams to deliver a seamless guest experience.

Key responsibilities

• Assign and monitor daily housekeeping tasks for team members.
• Inspect guest rooms, public areas, back‑of‑house spaces and laundry services for cleanliness and compliance.
• Manage inventory of linen, cleaning supplies and equipment.
• Coordinate with front office and maintenance to address guest requests and maintenance issues.
• Conduct on‑the‑job training, mentor staff and support performance evaluations.
• Ensure adherence to health, safety and hygiene procedures.
• Assist in scheduling and continuous improvement of housekeeping processes.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience as a housekeeping supervisor in a 5‑star hotel.
• Strong supervisory and leadership abilities, including task allocation and performance monitoring.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills for interacting with guests and colleagues.
• High attention to detail and strong organizational capabilities.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, and stand/move for extended periods.
• High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality or housekeeping certifications are a plus.
