Human Resources Manager – Ports & Terminal Operations

About the role

We are looking for an experienced, commercially‑minded Human Resources Manager to lead the HR function for a major port and terminal operation in Aqaba. This senior role partners closely with terminal leadership to build a high‑performing, engaged and safety‑focused workforce.

Key responsibilities

• Act as senior HR business partner to the Terminal General Manager and operational leaders, translating business plans into workforce and talent strategies.
• Lead workforce planning, ensuring the right staffing levels, capabilities and succession pipelines for operational volumes and seasonal demand.
• Manage employee and labour relations, handling complex cases, grievances, disciplinary actions and investigations while promoting fairness and transparency.
• Partner with Talent Acquisition to attract, onboard and retain critical operational and technical talent, supporting career progression and leadership development.
• Drive performance, engagement and culture initiatives, using analytics to monitor productivity, absenteeism and turnover.
• Identify capability gaps and work with Learning & Development to deliver technical, leadership and behavioral training programs.

Required profile

• Significant HR experience in a senior or managerial capacity, preferably within ports, logistics or maritime environments.
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to align HR initiatives to business objectives.
• Proven track record in workforce planning, talent management and employee relations.
• Data‑driven mindset, capable of providing actionable HR insights to senior leadership.
• Excellent influencing and communication skills, able to build constructive relationships across all levels.
