IT Asset Management Specialist

About the role

The IT Asset Management Specialist ensures that Cisco hardware, software, and services data is accurate, complete, and validated. This role provides a reliable view of customer assets to support lifecycle management, compliance, and data‑driven business decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Define and maintain customer business structures and associated Cisco assets within the managed service scope.
• Build and maintain an accurate installed base by consolidating customer, network, and Cisco data.
• Perform lifecycle‑based discovery and tracking of hardware and software assets across customer environments.
• Conduct data validation and reconciliation to identify discrepancies, gaps, duplicates, and risks.
• Support software and service agreement reconciliation by ensuring data accuracy.
• Generate asset management reports and dashboards on installed‑base status, service coverage, compliance, and lifecycle trends.
• Assist in maintaining Smart Account structures for centralized license and entitlement management.
• Collaborate with internal operations, technical, and service delivery teams to ensure data integrity.
• Analyze large datasets to provide operational insights and support continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3–5 years of experience in asset management, IT operations, data analysis, service delivery, or related roles.
• Hands‑on experience with hardware and software inventories, installed‑base management, and asset lifecycle processes.
