IT Project Manager – Applications (1 Year Contract)

About the role

The IT Project Manager – Applications will lead the planning, execution, and delivery of key healthcare IT initiatives, focusing on the implementation of Hospital Information Systems (HIS), Student Information Systems (SIS), and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solutions. This is a 1‑year contract position reporting to the IT Director – Applications.

Key responsibilities

• Define scope, objectives, timelines, and resources for HIS, SIS, and ERP implementations.
• Coordinate with clinicians, administrators, IT teams, and vendors to align project goals.
• Lead deployment, configuration, and integration of the selected applications.
• Identify risks, develop mitigation plans, and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Organise training sessions and provide ongoing support to end‑users.
• Deliver regular progress reports and updates to senior management.
• Manage change requests, maintain full documentation, and communicate project status.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
• Proven experience managing HIS, SIS, or ERP implementations.
• Strong communication, leadership, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Strategic thinking with the ability to align IT projects to organisational goals.
• Vendor management and negotiation experience.
• Knowledge of healthcare workflows and ERP modules (finance, HR, supply chain) is a plus.
• PMP or PRINCE2 certification preferred.
