Laboratory Chemist

About the role

Saint-Gobain is seeking a Laboratory Chemist to support research, product testing, and quality assurance for its construction materials portfolio. You will work closely with R&D, sales, and production teams to ensure product performance and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct laboratory experiments, record observations, analyze data, and interpret results.
• Prepare and present technical reports summarizing findings and recommendations.
• Support and train laboratory technicians in specimen preparation and procedural adherence.
• Assist the sales team with product knowledge, troubleshooting, and application guidance.
• Investigate customer complaints, perform root‑cause analysis, and recommend corrective actions.
• Test new and modified products for performance, durability, and compatibility, providing feedback to R&D.
• Ensure products meet local and international standards and maintain accurate documentation.
• Perform raw material and finished‑product testing, and execute routine batch adjustments as needed.
• Monitor market trends to identify opportunities and support product positioning.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry.
• 1–2 years of laboratory experience, including internships.
• Strong attention to detail, willingness to learn, and good communication skills.
