Laundry Attendant

About the role

We are looking for a reliable Laundry Attendant to join our hotel’s housekeeping team in Amman. The role involves operating laundry and dry‑cleaning equipment, ensuring linens and garments are cleaned to the highest standards and ready for guest use.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and monitor washing, drying and dry‑cleaning machines, add chemicals and clean lint traps.
• Identify stained or damaged items and decide on rewash, spot‑treatment, repair or discard.
• Inspect cleaned items, place them in linen carts and fold them by hand or using a folding machine.
• Set dryer times and temperatures according to fabric type and remove debris from dryer screens and filters after each load.
• Maintain accurate records of all laundered items.
• Follow all safety, security and company policies, report any accidents or unsafe conditions.
• Maintain a clean and professional personal appearance and protect company assets.

Required profile

• No specific education or prior experience required.
• Ability to stand, walk or sit for extended periods and lift objects up to 25 lb without assistance.
• Willingness to work in confined or elevated spaces and navigate uneven or slippery surfaces.
• Commitment to follow safety procedures and maintain confidentiality.

Required skills

• Operation of laundry and dry‑cleaning machinery.
• Basic record‑keeping.
• Ability to set dryer temperatures and times according to fabric specifications.
