Lead Civil Engineer

About the role

The Lead Civil Engineer will provide technical expertise and leadership across civil engineering projects, overseeing design, construction and project management while supervising a team of engineers. This role acts as the primary interface with clients, joint‑venture partners and third‑party stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Define project phases, scope, budget, quality and schedule; support procurement and investment control for civil works.
• Represent the company with clients and third parties on all civil engineering matters and manage stakeholder communication.
• Review and approve civil design deliverables, ensure constructability and compliance with standards.
• Monitor performance metrics, report risks and mitigations, and manage civil‑related risks to avoid delays.
• Support HSE initiatives and incident reporting in line with IMS policies.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years of civil engineering experience, including at least 5 years in a supervisory role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering; professional registration preferred.
• Experience in CCGT power plants, oil & gas, petrochemical or heavy‑industrial EPC projects.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage multiple projects concurrently.

Required skills

• Proficiency with civil engineering design and analysis software.
• ERP knowledge, preferably SAP functional skills.
• Experience with Primavera P6 for scheduling and critical‑path analysis.
• Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, materials and construction techniques.
