Lifeguard / Pool Attendant – Resort

About the role

The Holiday Inn Resort Dead Sea is seeking a professional Lifeguard to ensure the safety and wellbeing of guests using the resort’s swimming pools and water facilities. Reporting to the Recreation Manager, you will monitor pool areas, enforce safety rules, and deliver excellent guest service in line with IHG standards.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain constant surveillance of all swimming pools and designated recreational areas.
• Respond quickly to emergencies, accidents, and rescue situations, providing first aid, CPR, and AED support as needed.
• Enforce pool rules, safety procedures, and resort policies courteously.
• Conduct regular inspections of pool areas, rescue equipment, and safety devices.
• Provide guests with information on pool facilities, operating hours, and safety guidelines.
• Assist in maintaining cleanliness and presentation standards around pool and recreation areas.
• Report safety hazards, maintenance issues, and incidents promptly.
• Complete accurate incident and accident reports.
• Support recreational activities and guest engagement initiatives.

Required profile

• Valid Lifeguard Certification from a recognized provider.
• Current CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications.
• Minimum 1 year of lifeguarding experience, preferably in a hotel, resort, waterpark, or similar facility.
• Strong swimming and water‑rescue abilities.
• Good command of English; Arabic is an advantage.
• Physically fit, able to work outdoors for extended periods.
• Proactive, safety‑conscious attitude.
