About the role
The Loss Prevention Officer ensures the safety and security of guests, employees, and assets at The Westin Saraya Aqaba Resort & Spa. This full‑time, onsite position involves proactive patrols, monitoring of security systems, and rapid response to incidents.
Key responsibilities
- Patrol all areas of the property and assist guests with room access.
- Monitor CCTV, perimeter alarms, duress alarms, and fire‑life safety systems.
- Lock property entrances when required and conduct daily hazard inspections.
- Respond to accidents, provide first aid/CPR, and coordinate with EMS.
- Defuse guest or employee disturbances and call for external assistance when needed.
- Complete detailed incident reports and daily shift summaries.
- Escort unwelcome persons and report vehicle accidents or thefts.
- Maintain confidentiality of all security and loss‑prevention documentation.
- Conduct investigations, gather evidence, and interview relevant parties.
Required profile
- Ability to stand, walk, run, and lift objects up to 50 lb unaided (75 lb with assistance).
- Clear vision for reading small print and inspecting equipment.
- Comfort with using computers and point‑of‑sale systems.
- Willingness to comply with company policies, safety training, and licensing requirements.
Required skills
- CCTV monitoring and alarm system operation.
- Fire‑life safety system awareness.
- First aid and CPR certification.
- Incident reporting and investigation techniques.
- Use of computer‑based reporting tools.
