About the role
Join the culinary team at a leading hotel in Amman as a Pastry Commis B. You will support the pastry department by preparing high‑quality baked goods and ensuring all food safety standards are met.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and cook pastries according to recipes, quality, and presentation standards.
- Portion, chop, and store ingredients before use.
- Operate baking tools, measuring equipment, and kitchen appliances safely.
- Follow food‑safety policies, maintain personal hygiene, and monitor appliance temperatures.
- Wash, disinfect, set up, and break down work stations while adhering to sanitation procedures.
- Monitor food quality and portion sizes throughout the shift.
- Comply with company safety, security, and uniform standards.
- Communicate professionally with team members and answer phones courteously.
- Perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 25 lb, moving on various surfaces, and standing for extended periods.
- Assist with any additional duties requested by supervisors.
Required profile
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- Less than one year of related pastry or kitchen experience.
- No supervisory experience required.
- No specific license or certification needed.
