Procurement Trainee

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Procurement Trainee to support our purchasing team in processing customer requisitions efficiently, ensuring compliance and building strong supplier relationships. This entry‑level position offers exposure to day‑to‑day procurement operations and data analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Process incoming purchase requisitions and orders in a timely manner, adhering to internal policies and external compliance requirements.
• Follow all relevant procurement policies, procedures and standard operating procedures.
• Execute day‑to‑day procurement tasks, ensuring standards and procedures are met.
• Generate and analyse business data to support spend analysis and reporting.
• Monitor contracts for pricing, delivery and other terms, performing routine compliance checks.
• Collaborate with internal departments to increase spend coverage through purchase orders.
• Escalate supplier issues when necessary to maintain healthy relationships.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a scientific field.
• 0‑2 years of relevant experience or internship experience.
• Strong communication skills and customer‑oriented mindset.
• Proficiency in English.
• Ability to work with Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
